The Southport Lifeboat crew recently had a Mud Rescue excercise filmed for the Discovery Channel Canada.
The feature was broadcast last month on the Daily Planet as part of the Forces of Nature week.
The video shows exactly how the crew would approach anyone who may be stuck in the mud on Southport Beach.
